Please Call Me

loveLife’s call-back service is the first initiative of its kind in South Africa to offer users free mobile connectivity to a counsellor. With this new service, people can send a ‘Please Call Me’ message to the youth line from the privacy of their cell phone (a ‘PCM’ can be sent to 083 323 1023). The automated system calls them back and links them to a trained counsellor as soon as one is available.

While calls made to loveLife’s toll-free youth line are free from a land line (fixed line), normal cell phone rates apply when callers phone in using their cell phone. Cell phones, however, provide a safer, more anonymous means of accessing help and support for personal problems. The Plz cal me service is available through all three main service providers in South Africa giving youth free access to advice and guidance.
