Games & Youth Festivals

loveLife sees sport as a central arena in which we can encourage youth to live healthy lives and talk openly about sexual behaviour. The loveLife Games is the largest school sports competition in South Africa. It is a year-long series of regional and provincial events that culminate in a national competition called the All Star Games every year. While sports are the main focus, activities such as entertainment, drama, art, and debating are also included to ensure participation by youth with a variety of interests.

Schools and teams qualify for the loveLife Games by taking part in community-level leagues and festivals, which create excitement among the youth and in so doing, helps to strengthen the message of making positive lifestyle choices avoiding risky sexual behaviour. Furthermore, by encouraging youngsters to engage in physical activities we teach them to value themselves and their bodies.
